BSI Online User Agreement / Terms & Conditions

  • All information associated with any backflow assembly test submittal and transaction is true and accurate
  • All licenses / registrations are current and valid at the time and date of any given backflow assembly test submittal and transaction.
  • Any and all information associated with a given water customer’s backflow assembly, annual test report, or general information is the property of the backflow assembly owner.
  • All backflow test / certification results and comments are for the express and mutual consent of the Federal, State, and Local authorities having jurisdiction.
  • All backflow test results submitted are true and all tests deemed valid meet operating parameters of the authority having jurisdiction.
  • For each backflow report submitted, I understand there will be a fee charged, which must be paid at the time of submittal. The amount of the fee will vary by water system and will be clearly stated.
  • Payment must be submitted using either of the two following options:
    • Credit card: BSI accepts valid Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. BSI utilizes the platform Authorize.net for credit card transactions, and ensures that all credit card information is encrypted and confidential, and is at no time directly accessible by either BSI or a given water system. BSI Online meets all PCI compliance standards.
    • Prepaid account: Users have the option of establishing a prepaid account within BSI Online. For each report submitted, the applicable filing fee will be deducted from the account. If the filing fee exceeds the remaining balance, the user can pay for the remainder of the fee at the time of transaction using a credit card, or can reload the account. Prepaid accounts can be established by submitting funds via credit card on BSI Online or by sending in a check / money order to BSI – PO Box 51324 Cameron PO, Burnaby, BC V3J 0C9. For check / money order transactions, please allow up to 7-10 business days for the transaction to clear.
  • When annual notifications are sent to water customers, the letter will indicate "the last test company of record" and will include the company name and phone # of their test company of record. This procedure in some cases will not be retroactive to backflow test reports performed in the year(s) prior to a given water system adopting the BSI Online program.
  • The test company of record will be notified via email at the time the 30 day test due notice is sent to any respective water customer whom that given test company submitted a valid backflow assembly test report the previous year. This procedure in some cases will not be retroactive to backflow test reports performed in the year(s) prior to a given water system adopting the BSI Online program.
  • A read-only, PDF copy of each backflow assembly test report submitted will be sent via email to the respective water system and to the test company submitting the backflow assembly test report immediately after payment is completed for each backflow assembly test report submitted. This copy will be the official, backflow assembly test report on file with each given water system. No other copies need be sent to the water system (however this does not negate the need to leave a copy of the backflow assembly test report on site with the respective backflow assembly.). Please adhere to any other regulations within a given water system.
  • Backflow assembly test reports can be submitted for annual backflow assembly certifications / tests and for replacement backflow assembly tests of existing backflow assemblies via the BSI Online system. A backflow assembly test for a backflow assembly not in the BSI Online system (i.e. a brand new backflow assembly or a heretofore undiscovered backflow assembly) must be submitted directly to BSI via mail (PO Box 51324 Cameron PO, Burnaby, BC V3J 0C9), fax () or email (backflow@bsionline.ca), for which there will be no filing fee for that initial test.
  • The methods and procedures used within BSI Online are the property of Backflow Solutions, Inc. and that BSI has a patent pending for our proprietary system. I also acknowledge being notified by this agreement that BSI will aggressively employ all legal remedies available to protect our rights and will seek both compensatory and punitive damages if those rights are violated.
  • A water system utilizing the BSI Online system can request, at any time, the furnishing of my backflow assembly tester license, contractor license, current and valid test kit calibration certificate, or any other licenses / certifications required by the given water system.
  • Annual backflow assembly certification / test reports must be submitted in conjunction with the established annual due date specified in the BSI Online system (this excludes repairs, replacements, or special circumstances).
  • In order to submit a backflow assembly test report via BSI Online, I am responsible for obtaining the Customer Confirmation Number (CCN) from my respective customer, and will be unable to access my respective customer’s backflow assembly records without this CCN. The Customer Confirmation Number (CCN) is randomly generated each year, and is clearly listed on all test due notifications sent to the water customer.
  • Failure to comply with any of the regulations stipulated herein may result in my being forbidden from submitting backflow assembly tests via the BSI Online system, and thus will be unable to perform valid backflow assembly testing in municipalities utilizing the BSI Online system.
  • Failure to agree to the terms listed herein will prevent me from utilizing the BSI Online system.
